Community Chapel children’s & family ministry is a great place for families to grow in their journeys with Jesus. We have a committed volunteer team of adults and teens who partner with the children’s pastor in offering fun and creative ministries where your kids can form positive relationships and learn and apply God’s truths to their lives. We are also passionate about guiding you in fulfilling your role as the primary faith influencers in your child’s life.

We have children’s ministry programming on both Sunday mornings and Wednesday evenings; see further website information on all of these.   Our elementary Family Fusion one Sunday a month and the Faith Journey Milestones plan, beginning with baby dedications, is part of our family ministry of encouraging and equipping parents to guide their kids in their journeys with Jesus. You will also find special activities planned during the year for your children and for the whole family. Events such as Club 45 activities for our preteens, VBS or Family Bible Camp in the summer, movie nights, service project opportunities, family nights, and more!

Guidelines for Check-In and Check-Out of Preschoolers and Kindergartners

Children’s Ministries staff members or volunteer team members are responsible for releasing children in their care only to parents, legal guardians, or other persons designated by parents or legal guardians at the close of services or activities. It is presumed a person who drops off a child or youth has authority to pick up the child.

A formal check in and check out system is in place for infants-kindergartners:

Nursery: When dropping off a child in the nursery, pre-printed sticker tags are given out... one for child, one for parent, and one for the diaper bag. The numbers on each are matched before a child is picked up by the parent or legal guardian.

Preschool/Kindergarten: When dropping off a child in preschool and kindergarten the child receives a name tag and the parent receives a matching pick up tag. When the child is picked up, the numbers on tags are matched before child is released.

Pagers are also signed out for each child. If you have multiple children in nursery-kindergarten one pager may be used per family. The pager number will need to be recorded in each area where a child is dropped off.
