Local Missions

Community Chapel is making an effort to minister to our community in a variety of ways including reaching out to local veterans, helping our local schools and working with non-profit organizations in our community. Below are some of the ongoing local missions opportunities that you might want to get involved in.

Good Samaritan Fund: The purpose of the Good Samaritan Fund is to meet emergency life-sustaining needs such as utilities, rent, prescriptions, food, and other basic needs. This account is funded through special offerings received the first Sunday of the month and through other gifts over and above our tithes to the church. All monies designated "Good Sam" are used for that purpose and that purpose only.

Nashua Soup Kitchen: 4 times a year (every 5th Monday) Community Chapel provides and serves the meal at the Nashua Soup Kitchen. We serve dinner to about 225 people of all ages who otherwise may have a difficult time affording an evening meal.

Operation Christmas Child: Operation Christmas Child is a project of Samaritan's Purse. It is a means to share the God News of Jesus Christ and His love with hurting boys and girls around the world. Each child receives a shoebox filled with simple gifts, sometimes the first gift that child has ever received, that will bring joy to them in the holiday season. We, at Community Chapel, have the opportunity to be a part of this great ministry opportunity by taking an ordinary shoebox, filling it with age appropriate toys and school supplies, and being a part of being a kingdom builder.
