Why should I consider giving financially?

God blesses us in order to be a blessing through us. The Bible tells us that everything we have is a gift from God (1 Chronicles 29:14). As we give the world is changed for the glory of God: the gospel is preached, lives are changed, people are fed, bodies are healed, churches are built, and we are blessed by God so that we can give again.

What is a tithe and how is it different from an offering?

The word “tithe” actually means tenth, or ten percent, and refers to the "first fruits" of a person's blessings. An offering is anything you give above and beyond the ten percent, such as to world missions, compassionate ministries, etc. The tithe primarily supports and equips the local church in its operations and outreach. Offerings are typically more directed in nature.

Why do we tithe?

In the Bible, tithing is a reminder that everything we have belongs to God and that we are to trust Him for all things (Malachi 3:10). He supplied it. And followers of Jesus are instructed in Scriptures to excel in giving!

“But since you excel in everything—in faith, in speech, in knowledge, in complete earnestness and in the love we have kindled in you—see that you also excel in this grace of giving.” (2 Corinthians 8:7)

Is God wise and do I trust Him?

These two questions are at the heart of giving. Since God is all wise, will I trust Him as I obey His will for my life? If I trust Him, will I trust him about all aspects of my life including my finances? So, take a step. Take God at His word that we can’t out-give Him.

We can receive your donation tax-free and you will receive a charitable tax deduction for your gift.
