worship ministries

Worship is an act of bringing honor, glory, and praise to God. We do this through the singing of songs, the testimonies of the people, prayer, the preaching of the Word, and being sent into the world. Worship is an invitation for all to draw closer to God and allow Him to reveal places within ourselves that need to grow and change.

We gather on Sundays at 10:30AM for the Journey of Praise  on facebooklive. The music is led by a band and choir; the worship style is contemporary with room for other musical styles. We also utilize other creative expressions of worship like drama, corporate readings, dance, and other creative arts. We celebrate the Sacraments on a regular basis. We deeply desire that every worship service at Community Chapel be Spirit-led. We are reminded that the main goal of worship is not our own personal preference, but to bring honor and glory to God alone.

Our prayer is that each person who walks through the doors would encounter God in such a way that there is growth and transformation. We believe that corporate worship should encourage personal worship throughout the week. True worship moves outside the walls of the church to include concern for those in need and justice for the oppressed. Our very lives are to be offered as instruments of praise for His honor and glory.

Worship at Community Chapel is also a time of community. Our worship services are a welcoming time where we grow together as the Body of Christ. At the heart of this community is the desire to see people of all ages share in our worship services using their gifts, talents and testimonies, using diverse styles and avenues of worship. In order to create an environment like this, discipleship and training of the worship ministry teams is a high priority.

To this end, we rely on the presence and work of the Holy Spirit among us, and pray that our times of worship would be a gathering of God’s people, seeking together to bring honor and glory to His Name.

We look forward to worshiping with you!
