UPDATE ON ONLINE GATHERING AND WORSHIP

During the pandemic, we have consistently made loving our neighbors and caring for one another, especially the most vulnerable among us, the primary motivating factor in discernment and decision-making. This has been done as we have monitored the COVID impact in our community and congregation. That has not changed.

With the current extreme transmissibility and positivity rate in our city and region, as well as the regular incidences within the congregation, the Leadership Team has extended the remote worship and discipleship model to January 31, 2022. In the meantime, the following decision-making framework will be used in discerning when we can gather onsite again or if the remote model will be extended.

  • Community positivity rate.
  • The level of hospitalizations in our city.
  • The incidence of COVID in our congregation.
  • The incidence of COVID in our daycare, NCLC.

We desire to contribute to the wellbeing of our congregation and the common good of our community, especially the taxed healthcare system. Please be praying for the wisdom and discernment for our leaders in these days. We also encourage you to connect online as often as possible, while also connecting to your brothers and sisters and neighbors in sharing God’s hope. If you become aware of someone within our congregation who contracts COVID, requiring isolation, and needs support, please contact the church office.

Keep on loving one another as brothers and sisters. (Hebrews 13:1)

THERE WILL BE NO ONSITE GATHERINGS THROUGH JANUARY 31st.

PLEASE CHECK THE NEWSLETTER FOR VIRTUAL CONNECTIONS AND UPDATES!

Facebook Live services will also continue when we are meeting on-site again.

Be devoted to tenderly loving your fellow believers as member of one family.

welcome!

Welcome! At Community Chapel we are a gathering of people who are on The Journey of becoming followers of Jesus and sharing God's hope wherever we find ourselves. As we journey in life we all face questions about the purpose of our lives, what difference belief in God makes in our world and how our lives can matter for good. We long for valued relationships and meaningful connections. And we invite you to join us!

As you navigate through our website, you will discover there are many points of discovery for you and your household on The Journey's path. One of our deep desires is to create an inter-generational partnership with people. We seek to make opportunities for belonging, whatever stage and chapter of life you find yourself. We want to invite all ages to be "difference makers" by bringing the hope of God wherever we find ourselves.

All of us are at different points in The Journey but together, we can grow into what God desires us to be. So, we hope we get to soon welcome you to The Journey called Community Chapel!
